Dedication of Karmen Thompson Reflection Point
Karmen Thompson was a long-time advocate for street trees and one of Lake Oswego’s most accomplished artists. She encouraged gardening and her own garden was featured in “Sunset Magazine.” She arranged for street trees to be planted in First Addition along Fourth Street and B Avenue. January 18, 2006 a path, tree and reflecting pond in First Addition were dedicated in Karmen’s name; Mayor Judie Hammerstad proclaimed the day to be Karmen Thompson Day.

Karmen died May 31, 2006 after battling a brain tumor for over two years.
